This 2 hour workshop will focus on clarifying, tuning and sharpening the three pillars of asana practice: LOCK, BREATH, and GAZE.
Great for beginner and advanced yogis alike. We will discuss and practice the three main bandhas (locks), the power of pranayama (yogic breath), and the importance of drishti (gaze) in a variety of postures inspiring equal strength, flexibility and balance to both body and mind.
Suitable for all levels.
Introduction to Flexibility
A bridge must be firmly rooted in the ground. Equally, it must also be flexible - if the structure can't give with the wind, with the traffic coursing through it, with tremors in the earth, the bridge will crack and collapse.
Yoga asanas cultivate a beautiful duet between strength and flexibility in both body and mind.
In this two hour workshop we will discuss the importance of healthy, sustainable flexibility and mobility, break down familiar postures and discover new tools to introduce new skills.
Open to all levels, class includes discussion, breath, vinyasa, demonstrations, full body flexibility drills, partner exercises and deep relaxation.
